Huntsman currently has a challenging opportunity for an entry-level Accountant in our Corporate Finance Division at our Corporate Administrative Headquarters located in The Woodlands, Texas. Huntsman has regional/global shared service centers in Sao Paolo, Brazil, India, Panyu, China, and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The company is looking for an entry level accountant to train with the corporate and shared service center in The Woodlands, Tx for 2 - 3 years, then relocate to one of the other shared service centers (depending on language fluency). This is an entry level position for a staff accountant to support and learn from the global corporate accounting team. Duties will include monthly journal entries, reconciliations, expense analysis and preparing expense reports. This position will be interacting with accountants in most of our sites around the world. This position will also be involved in the annual Shared service budgeting process and various special projects throughout the year. Essential responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to the following: Monitor, review and analyze several functions' global spend. Help prepare and track the budget of several functions' global spend. Provide support to Senior analysts on their larger functions. Record Journal Entries. Reconcile Accounts. Special Projects. General Responsibilities: Follows instructions and performs other duties as may be assigned by supervisor. Assists other employees in accomplishment of Huntsman company goals. Participates in and completes company-required training programs. Participates in Environmental, Health and Safety initiatives as set forth by the company. Education and Work Experience Requirements: A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. Special Qualifications (Training, Technical skills, etc.): Must have a level of proficiency with Internet, Email, and Microsoft programs. Intermediate or advanced Excel skills. Fluency in Hindi, Mandarin or Portuguese preferred.
