Huntsman has an immediate opening for a dynamic individual with proven capability as an Associate Chemical Technician in our Polyurethanes Regional Rigid Foams Group located at HuntsmanAdvancedTechnologyCenter in The Woodlands, Texas. Key Accountabilities: Typical tasks may include, but are not limited to precise preparation of chemical blends using drums and manual drum handling equipment, calibration, operation, troubleshooting and light maintenance of high-pressure foam metering/dispensing equipment. Support development and deployment of new or modified technology in polyurethane chemicals designed for specific usage in appliances, doors, metal-faced panels and/or spray foam applications. Work closely under the supervision of a technical supervisor. Accurate and thorough laboratory recordkeeping. Educational Requirements and Work Experience: 3+ years of lab experience in the Chemical industry or Associate degree in Science or Engineering discipline with 0+ year experience. Experience in an application development laboratory/pilot plant or chemical plant production/maintenance environment preferred. Special Requirements and Qualifications: Proficiency in computer skills (Excel and MS Word). Job duties require excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to routinely and safely lift 50 pounds. Bi-lingual language skills are considered a plus. Demonstrated aptitude in mathematics (algebra level) and mechanical proficiency.
